Holistic Preparation for Natural Birth

  • Charlottetown Yoga Space (map)

Nature created the perfect blueprint for birth, and it’s designed to work! ~

Join birth and postpartum doulas Andrea St. Jules and Aly Bell for an inspiring afternoon designed to equip you with the knowledge and tools to embrace your natural birth journey with confidence, empowering you to honor your body’s innate ability to give birth on your own terms.

In this workshop, you’ll learn about:

- How to prepare for a natural birth, at home or in a hospital.
- The physiology of birth and how to align with your body’s natural rhythms during labour.
- What happens in your brain during labour—and why it matters.
- The effects of common birth interventions on your birth experience.
- How to create a birth plan that reflects your desires and advocate for it with confidence.
- The power of trusting your intuition above external opinions.
- Comfort techniques, birthing positions, breathing practices, and more!

To close out the afternoon, Andrea will guide us through some gentle prenatal yoga followed by a calming yoga nidrā (resting meditation) to help you connect more deeply to your body, your baby and your inner wisdom.
