The importance of true rest and relaxation during pregnancy cannot be under-stated - from helping to grow a healthier, happier baby to facilitating a smoother labour and birth - Relaxation is Key!
Yet there is a difference between superficial relaxation - and true, deep relaxation. True rest and relaxation isn’t just about resting your body, it’s about resting your mind and your nervous system too.
Yoga Nidrā - or ‘Yoga Sleep’ - is a guided meditation practice that brings you into a state of deep rest - a place between waking and sleeping - while still remaining awake and aware. It offers numerous benefits when practiced prenatally, in preparation for birth and in postpartum!
In this class you’ll first learn about Yoga Nidrā and all of these benefits. Then we’ll move through some gentle yoga postures and calming breathwork - followed by a deeply restorative experience of Yoga Nidrā.
You’ll leave feeling more at ease, and attuned to your body, your inner strength and intuition as you prepare for birth and beyond.
